Faction Lore

The Brotherhood of Steel are the armored guardians of pre-war technology. Disciplined, heavily equipped, and unwavering in their mission, they patrol the Florida Wasteland seeking to secure advanced technology before it falls into the wrong hands. Their power armor is a symbol of both protection and authority. Many members of the Florida Brotherhood were former mercenaries recruited into the order in 2294, when the Order returned to the region.

Role at Events

The Brotherhood fields some of the most heavily armored players on the field. They operate as a disciplined military unit, running structured missions and holding key objectives. Not all Members of the Brotherhood are knights in power armor. The order fields a large number of squires and yeomen supporting the knights as they patrol the Florida Wasteland. They work to maintain a security zone protecting major settlements against raiders, while maintaining a search for pre-war technology. The Florida Brotherhood have proven serve as better protectors for average wastelanders than some of the northern and western chapters, but it would be wise to not ignore any request they make to turn-over any relic being sought by the Brotherhood.

The Enclave

The Enclave

The last true Americans — or so they believe.

The Enclave at a MindGame Productions event

Faction Lore

Remnants of the pre-war United States government, the Enclave believe themselves to be the rightful heirs of America. Highly organized and ruthlessly efficient, they operate with military precision and advanced technology. Their presence in the Florida Wasteland signals that something significant is at stake. The Enclave bring a promise of stability, order and a return to American values and power that is comforting, reassuring, even a little seductive. Many have learned of the brutal violence and control the Enclave quickly metes out to any wastelanders that reject their authority or who have tested as unpure and not suitable for being part of the new America.

Role at Events

The Enclave plays the role of a disciplined antagonist faction — well-equipped, organized, and mission-driven. They often control key strategic locations and pursue their own agenda regardless of the cost to others.

Faction Lore

Born from the swamps and sun-scorched highways of Florida, the Sunshine Band are a former gang of raiders that realized that a little personality, business acumen, and a near-endless supply of pre-war junk can amass a fortune just as quickly and a lot more safely than violence. They're now the premier caravan company and mercantile outfit in the south-east; colorful salesmen, showmen with the gift of gab, but don't let the festive appearance fool you. They are well armed and have deep pockets to fund a deadly serious security team.

Role at Events

The Sunshine Band brings color and fun to the field. They operate as a major merchant faction — if you haven't gotten on their badside, they're the folks to see if you need to sell relics and buy supplies. Their mercantile base is always a flurry of activity and it's also a good place to go if you're looking for work, needing to hire some gunmen, doing a little gambling, need a doctor, or are just looking to enjoy a refreshing Nuka Cola.

Faction Lore

The New California Republic represents the best attempt at rebuilding democratic civilization in the post-war world. Having expanded east from California to establish cross-country trade routes and seek like-minded organizations looking to restore a safe, democratic society, NCR troopers now operate in the Florida Wasteland, bringing their ideals of law, order, and mutual defense — whether the locals want it or not. Burned by an early association with the Red Duke, the NCR subsequently formed part of the tripartite alliance under the Treaty of Poseidon to establish the Sunshine State. As it became more established, the NCR 2nd Military Assistance Group left the defense of the Sunshine State to its own security forces and focused on training local settlements to build their own defense teams and keep the trade routes safe from raiders.

Role at Events

NCR players operate as a structured military faction. They patrol supply lines, protect settlements, and pursue diplomatic as well as combat objectives. The brave troopers of the NCR have a difficult and dangerous life, but can rely on their brothers and sisters in arms to always have their back and look after one another in the Wasteland.

The Florida Responders

Long after the bombs fell, they kept showing up.

Faction Lore

The Florida Responders are the descendants of first responders, National Guard units, and emergency services personnel who refused to abandon their posts when the bombs fell. Two centuries later, their organization endures — battered, understaffed, but still answering the call. They are the closest thing the Florida Wasteland has to a humanitarian force.

Role at Events

The Responders focus on support, medic, and humanitarian roles at events. They run aid stations, rescue missions, and civilian protection objectives. They are small in numbers, but the missions they are conducting or may be recruiting others to support can have major impact on the health and safety of everyone in the Florida Wasteland. Playing a Responder means putting the mission above personal glory.

Faction Lore

Operating out of the ruins of Florida's coastal towns, the Ravagers of the Silver Cove are a raider confederation that controls the waterways and coastal ruins. They are known for their distinctive style of dress and an organizational structure and bylaws drawn from the old Pirate's Code. They're looking to make a fortune, live outside the norms of any form of civil government, and live life to the fullest. While they can be fierce opponents, those who give up their goods without resistance are often spared. While technically raiders, they typically respect a white flag and a chance to parley, knowing that violence comes with a cost to all.

Role at Events

The Ravagers are a colorful and fun raider option with a distinctly Florida feel. They raid supply lines, contest objectives, and generally make life difficult for more organized factions... but they still live for drinking, gambling, ribaldry and a good time. They often play up their fierce reputation as a strategy to get their opponents to surrender without a fight, and are not an unreasonable group if you treat them fairly and with some respect.

Caesar's Legion has marched east, and their brutal efficiency has followed them into the Florida Wasteland. A slave army built on conquest and Roman-inspired discipline, the Legion views the chaos of the wasteland as weakness to be purged. They are feared, organized, and utterly without mercy for those who oppose them.

Role at Events

The Legion operates as a disciplined combat faction with a strict hierarchy. They pursue conquest objectives and are known for their aggressive, coordinated tactics. They may give raiders or wasteland tribes an opportunity to swear allegiance and join the legion to be spared. Those who resist them are fought with a ruthless ferocity and the Legion is notoriously cruel and sadistic to those they conquer.
